Douglas Shulman


Douglas H. Shulman was the U.S. Commissioner of Internal Revenue. His appointment by thenpresident George W. Bush was confirmed by the full U.S. Senate on March 14, 2008 and he was sworn in on March 24, 2008 and served his full term until November 2012. He formerly served as vice chairman of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and sat on the board at the Depository Trust amp Clearing Corporation and the World Federation of Exchanges. He was hired by BNY Mellon in early 2015 and had been a Senior Advisor with McKinsey and Company.

Shulman was born in 1967 to Jeff and Celia Shulman. He grew up in Oakwood, Ohio . He graduated from Oakwood High School in 1985. Shulman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College, a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard Universitys John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
